DAY 1 - MAUN / OKAVANGO DELTA – VUMBURA CONCESSION
Upon arrival into Maun and after clearing customs you will be met and assisted onto your light aircraft flight deep into the vast Okavango Delta and to the private Vumbura Concession. When you land at the airstrip a vehicle from Vumbura Plains Camp will be waiting for you. Vumbura Plains Camp is luxury tented camp situated to the north of Mombo, in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The entire camp overlooks a vast floodplain and the rooms are built under the canopy of cool shade trees. All 14 of the luxury tented rooms are raised off the ground on wooden platforms with walkways connecting them to the main areas. Each luxury tented room has a large bedroom, a lounge, a "sala" and en-suite facilities with a shower, bath, a flush toilet and an outdoor shower and plunge pool.. The main dining, lounge and pub area is also raised off the ground under the shade of trees with a wonderful view across the floodplains.

You will have your first chance to spot wildlife on the way from the airstrip to the camp, arriving in time for lunch. After a chance to rest up you will depart on a late afternoon game drive, returning to camp after dark.

The Vumbura Concession offers both land and water activities with a wonderful variety of habitats and a great diversity of wildlife. Within this vast area of close to 130,000 acres, you will enjoy game viewing in open 4x4 Land Rovers where you can spot Red Lechwe (an animal that inhabits the fringes of the waterways) Sable antelope, Lion, Leopard, Elephant, cheetah and Buffalo along with all the plains animals. Guided walks, mokoros and boating safaris gives Vumbura's guests the opportunity to enjoy Africa from a different perspective.

DAY 3 - OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
This morning you’ll depart by light aircraft to the Moremi Game Reserve where you will spend three nights on safari at the award winning Mombo Camp. This remote camp lies deep within Moremi Wildlife Reserve at the northwestern tip of Chief's Island, which can only be accessed by air. The island is surrounded by open floodplains and the camp itself is largely built in and around the shade of large matgosteen, ebony and fig trees.

The camp has nine luxuriously furnished tents, raised off the ground. The guests' rooms and connecting walkways are up to 6 feet off the ground, allowing wildlife to wander freely through the camp. The canvas rooms are very large and have full en-suite facilities with an additional outdoor shower under the stars. The dining room, pub and living area overlook the open plain in front of the camp and there is a plunge pool for relaxing in the heat of the day.

Activities at Mombo Camp include morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles. The camp offers abundant big game viewing, arguably the best in Botswana. The highlight is the concentration of plains game and all the predators - including the big cats. This is also one of the few areas in Botswana where you will have a chance to spot the rare White Rhino. Lion sightings are particularly good. You can also see Leopard, large herds of Buffalo, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Elephant, Hyena, Giraffe, Wildebeest and Zebra.

There are also good populations of Impala, Lechwe, Kudu, Zebra, Giraffe, Sable, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Bushbuck and the smaller plains antelope. The major predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena are resident, and are regularly sighted.
