BOTSWANA NATIONAL PARKS

AND RESERVES COVER A VAST AREA OF THE COUNTRY. FROM THE KALAHARI DESERT TO CHOBE NATIONAL PARK AND THE  FAMOUS OKAVANGO DELTA, WHICH  CARRIES ITS WATERS INTO THE KALAHARI SANDS CREATING THE LARGEST INLAND DELTA IN THE WORLD.

Chobe National Park
This northern Botswana parks year round water supply attracts a wide variety of animals and more than 100,000 elephants migrate through or make the park their home.
Central Kalahari Game Reserve
This huge reserve, is the second largest in world, covering over 20.000 sq. miles. Originally created to protect the ancient ways of the Bushman that still live there, it is also home to many rare, desert adapted species.
Makgadikgadi Pan National Park
This huge salt pan was once a giant lake. Over the eons the waters receded, but yearly rains still attract millions of Flamingoes that nest in the shallow waters.
Mashatu Game Reserve
Set in the remote eastern corner of Botswana this private reserve holds open savannah, riverine forests, marshland and sandstone outcrops for you to explore.
Moremi Game Reserve
This spectacular reserve covers nearly 1/3 of the Okavango Delta area and was the first park established and run by the people who have lived there for hundreds of years, the Twana tribe.
Nxai Pan National Park
This pan is dotted with small trees and grasslands amidst the briny ancient lake beds that were once filled with water, attracts large numbers of wildlife depending the season.
Okavango Delta
This huge area of winding waterways, swamps, and islands form the largest inland delta in on earth. Unlike most delta's the waters flow inland lapping at the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert.
Tsodilo Hills
On the northwest fringe of the Kalahari Desert are the honey colored granite cliffs of the Tsodilo Hills. These hills are world famous for their ancient Bushman paintings.
